Located in Yuba City, California, just north of Sacramento, Adventure Church is an Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) church plant.
The 10-year-old congregation first met in a school, where they had to set-up and take down equipment each week. Then the church moved into a warehouse where they leased space.
This was a better situation than renting in a school, but the church was “praying that God would open the door for us to get into something permanent,” said Lead Pastor Greg Mansur.
God was already working on a unique solution to their need.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, a local bowling alley closed, which presented an opportunity for Adventure Church to finally find a more permanent home.
“Because of the incredible help we received from CIF,” Mansur said, “we were able to quickly and expeditiously walk through the process of purchasing a 45,000 square-foot building on five acres of property with 300 parking spaces.”
And the church is “thrilled” to be in a space of its own.
“We were so grateful to have a partner in CIF . . . They were the experts,” Mansur explained. “They were patient with us, they were understanding, they were super clear in their communication . . . We could not recommend highly enough the great people at CIF.”
