Ongoing support, growing ministry

Calvary Church is running its Grow Campaign, growing the Kingdom for all generations

Calvary Church in Walker, Minn. is making disciples and growing its impact in northern Minnesota, with plans for a $3.4 million church construction program, a capital campaign with CIF and a church loan.

Church Administrator Chris Cox said he liked the fact that CIF helped with financing and a loan many years ago for their current building. “You see that come full circle.” This is part of the CIF Difference, where our support is ongoing.

“There we were, sometimes turning people away. We knew we were losing people because they would come in and they couldn’t find a seat,” said Elder Chair Rex Ruge.

Lead Pastor Mark Widman said the church needs to make room to grow, and for people to grow in their faith.
“We’re super thankful for CIF, the expertise, gifting and game plan that they bring so we don’t have to reinvent the wheel,” said Pastor Mark. “There’s a path to walk, you pray through, you pull the team together and you get ready to see what happens.”

With consulting help from CIF, Calvary is running its Grow Campaign, growing the Kingdom for all generations – making room to follow Him, grow in Him, and serve Him together. At left are Lead Pastor Mark Widman and Church Administrator Chris Cox.

The church hopes to raise $1.2 million toward the project to build a new worship center and nursery, an expanded lobby and bathrooms, and updated offices and classrooms.
