Patterns, change, curiosity, partnership, prayer

“There is great satisfaction in fulfilling God’s call in each of our lives, both individually and organizationally. We are His servants.”

It’s that time of year again when life for many of us returns to normal patterns. Traffic increases, church attendance becomes steadier and the fourth quarter of the year is clearly in sight.

At Christian Investors Financial, this often means more inquiries, more meetings with churches and more external activity.

As Americans, we are often drawn to reports and analysis of current trends and patterns. What’s happening in the economy? What are people concerned about? Where are things headed?

We are certainly looking at our own trends, capacity and capabilities as we plan for the future. There is always data to process, and our curious minds look to how we can apply what we’re learning to benefit those we serve.

Really, it’s knowing who we are and working prayerfully and diligently within that space, almost within a niche or sweet spot. There is great satisfaction in fulfilling God’s call in each of our lives, both individually and organizationally. We are His servants.

At a recent church conference, I met a number of pastors and other leaders, heard their stories and offered financial expertise in support of their missions. We make ourselves available to church leaders in multiple ways.

I can humbly say that our consultative approach is where we truly shine. There’s just no substitute for our ministry-minded sense of financial services. With our church loans, we balance the risk very well, and in favor of the church, not our own pockets or those of our shareholders, because we have none.

CIF is a ministry serving ministries, and the individuals who partner with us as well. We try to stay in tune with what is happening and offer strategies to plan for facility needs and funding options.

I want to thank each of you who has submitted feedback to us, either by email, filling out a CIF survey or some other way, such as by phone or even by stopping in. Communication is a two-way street.

We have been working hard to communicate more effectively this year. In that spirit, if you haven’t had the chance yet, would you check out our CIF Core Values video about curiosity?

Helping churches and individuals to grow and engage is what we do, and we are blessed to be able to do it.
