Question: What do you mean when you say that CIF is relational, not retail, that you value partnerships, not just transactions?
Answer: CIF offers a unique blend of financial services and ministry. We are not a church, but churches and ministries are a top priority. So, we need to think like a church, look at budgets like a church, and be ready to suggest ways to strengthen ministries to fulfill God’s calling. We too serve the Lord and help facilitate Kingdom expansion. We’ve served in the church space for a long time, which means we can pool the experiences of thousands of churches to the benefit of those we serve. This means when we talk about interest rates for a church loan, for example, they are just one of many pieces of the financial puzzle.
Ultimately, it comes down to stewardship, which is a principle that the secular world has a hard time grasping. How can a church and CIF handle God’s resources in a thoughtful and responsible way? That is a conversation that’s best had in a relationship built on honesty and trust. This is who we are, and what we do. Praise God – let’s get to work!
